Cody's weekly wind down

This past weekend, 16-17 June, saw New Zealand's Cody Cooper make the long drive from Thunder Valley and round 3 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series to Greene County’s High Point Raceway and the Red Bull High Point National.

High Point could really be dubbed “A Series of High Points.” The track offers incredible spectator viewing, weaving in and out of a natural valley. The riders must charge up and down the climbs and descents but also tackle High Point’s signature technical challenge: sloping, off-camber corners. All that elevation change makes this track tough to master but also leads to some amazing racing.

Race Day began with Cody qualifying a solid 9th - only 2 hundredths of a second behind Suzuki rider, Weston Peick. With the first race underway Cody was able to avoid the first turn pile up and ended race one with an 8th place finish; simply superb. Race 2 took its toll on all the riders and temperatures soared but Coops kept his bike on 2 wheels again and rounded out race 2 in 10th place. After 4 rounds Cody Cooper sits 10th overall and top privateer.

Here’s the highlight videos from his two races:
